The First Bite: A Blogger Lifestyle Party

at Pristina North Clubhouse

Last August 14, 2009 Friday, some of the Cebu Bloggers Society members were invited by the AboitizLand in their what they call the First Bite: A Blogger Lifestyle Party. I was not prepared for the event since I was not told of what really is the event all about or maybe I just missed to read the forums. So after our midterm examination, I went to Ayala wearing my uniform. Our meet up place was in Seattle’s Best Coffee at 5-6PM. When others arrived, I was surprised to see their outfits in which some call it the relaxed urban style. I’m the only one who’s wearing a uniform. That was really embarrassing for my part.

When everyone was set, we then wait for our convoy to Pristina North in Talamban. I’m sure most people have heard about Aboitiz. For those who doesn’t know what AboitizLand is all about, you might wanna read this:

As we rode on our convoy, we haven’t got any clue of where the driver was taking us. All we know is, we were heading North. After a few minutes of travel, we then reached Pristina North-where we entered the wide gate in a vast land property. We were then taken to the Pristina North Clubhouse where the event will be held. As soon as we enter the Clubhouse, the staffs of AboitizLand were waiting for us and welcomed us. We were then taken to the registration table and gave us some brochures. While waiting for others, we were allowed to roam around the vicinity. I could see the vast land from the Clubhouse. The Clubhouse also features a wide pool, conference halls, and a basketball court.

We then went inside and headed to the miniatures (The Pristina North and The Persimmon miniatures) in front of us which all about it were explained by the staff. It was quite amazing to see those miniatures. They were so cute and looked so real. After which, when everyone has arrived, we then formed our line to the buffet table. I can only say one word about the food:  “Delicious”. That’s it. I grabbed different kinds of dishes and I can’t believe I ate all those.

After dinner, we were asked to settle down for the program. We were not the only one invited. There’s also the SkycraperCity Forums Group who joined us in the event. The program consisted two parts: the intermission number from the dancers in tights while shoving ropes with blue lights (i forgot what they are called), and the best part were the games which included the Buzz Word, Beer Transferring Game, and How Well Do You Know Cebu. That was really fun.

After the tiring but enjoyable games, we were then showed an AVP of AboitizLand’s current development, The Persimmon. It was really unique. How I wish I could afford living there someday.

The event ended well. There was a freedom wall provided for us to write our comments or whatever we feel to write. What caught from one of the staffs attention was the writing “AboitizLand a day, everyday okay”. It’s from our friend Kevin Ray Chua from the CBS group. He then received an AboitizLand notebook which was pretty cool.

The really best part was, when all of us got a new CBS shirt sponsored by AboitizLand. Well, not really new. It’s the white version of our black CBS shirt. After the event, there was more camwhoring, dancing, and beer. We were escorted home at around 10PM.

Here are some of the photos taken during the vent:

I personally thank Sinjin for including me to be in the event, and also to AboitizLand for inviting us.
