Cattski at TEN Concert

I have been a Cattski fan ever since my friend Clarence introduced me to her songs. I also was able to sing one of her songs in a debut entitled ‘A Mental Picture of You’. Another song of hers which melted my heart was the song called ‘Hero’.

I believe Cattski Espina is a great singer and at the same time composer. I’ve been inspired to each lyrics of her songs. I only saw her perform live once in Ayala Terraces some time last December and it made me admire her more.

Come and join us in celebrating TEN Years of Cattski to be held at The Outpost on March 20, 2010 Saturday at 8PM. This also includes her Album Launching and Live Recording.

Frizberry Yogurt Soon to Open at SM City Cebu

Hi guys! Don’t you just love yogurt? Well I do. Now I have a great news for you: the Frizberry Yogurt will soon to open at the 2nd level of SM City Cebu fronting Salon de Rose on March 8, 2010! Yep, you got that right.

Aside from being a delicious snack with fruits on the bottom, yogurt has great health benefits. It is an excellent source of protein, calcium, riboflavin and vitamin B 12. When yogurt is compared to milk, yogurt contains more calcium and protein because of the added cultures in the yogurt. Yogurt must contain active and living cultures to be yogurt. Cultures are composed of unique living microorganisms which are responsible for many of the health and nutritional benefits of yogurt. Now I don’t have to enumerate all the health benefits of yogurt, do I?

Ai Love: Cosplay Skits

Ai Love: A Cosplay Event and Fashion Show was held in Parkmall, Mandaue City, Cebu yesterday February 21, 2010 at 12 noon. I arrived late so I wasn’t able to document the cosplayers’ presentation but thank goodness I was able to see their skits. So here are some of them. Enjoy watching!

Sa Ngalan Sa Amahan: A Cebuano Stage Play

Moonbox Event Productions presents the University of the Philippines Student Theater Arts Guild for Education (UPSTAGE) in a Cebuano play entitled Sa Ngalan Sa Amahan (In the Name of the Father). The play will be staged in SM Cinema 2 on February 27, 2010, Saturday.

Sa Ngalan sa Amahan is a Cebuano play inspired from Sa Ngalan ng Ama by Roberto Jose de Guzman, a Palanca Award winning play for Literature. The play revolves around the tragic story of a family ruined by the autocratic ways of the father. The story takes place within the old household of the Villasante’s. It tackles highly important and relevant political and social issues discussed in the family setting, society’s most basic unit and very foundation. (more…)

CBS at 2: The Cebu Bloggers Society 2nd Anniversary Celebration!

Last year, on the first year anniversary of CBS, there was no celebration such as this so I’m really thankful that this year, it is all made possible. Last February 14, 2009 was the day I officially became part of Cebu Bloggers Society and this coming Sunday, February 14, 2010 would be the celebration of our 2nd year Anniversary together with the celebration of my first year with CBS and Valentine’s Day. I am totally excited!

In two years, blogging in Cebu has ripened from just being a mere online diary to something that takes an active role in civic and social awareness.

One of the factors that contributed to this positive development in the blogging scene in Cebu is the creation of a local blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society was founded on February 14, 2008, with the main goal of uniting Cebu-based bloggers into a well-bonded community. And indeed, after its creation, individuals with diverse backgrounds but with a common interest, which is to promote Cebu and advocate blogging as a key tool for progress, converged together to establish Cebu’s first and largest blogging community.

The Cebu Bloggers Society has really grown and evolved quite significantly. From its humble beginnings, the group presently has at least 80 members and still counting. And now, the group is already anticipating its 2nd founding anniversary! Dubbed as “CBS @ 2: The Cebu Bloggers Society 2nd Anniversary Celebration”, the event is envisioned to further strengthen the bond of friendship and camaraderie within the blogging community. (more…)
