Since she badly needed a laptop and since I felt awful for her, I suggested her to use mine in a couple of months until she could afford to buy a new one. Also, I need to concentrate on my review for the upcoming Nursing Board Examination which will be on July 3 and 4. Having this gadget with me serves as a distraction for me for now, so I just better let my mom have this for a while.

But thinking about it, it’s really hard for me. I’ve been attached online. Like almost everyday, for how many hours, I stay online browsing, blogging, plurking, facebooking, etc. It really makes me sad. I really don’t know if I can bear it. But then again, I have to. It’s for the benefit of both of us.

So friends, I have to tell you that I’m gonna be on Blog Leave starting now until I can have my laptop back. My CBS family, I have to say sorry ahead for the events that I’m about to miss. I will surely miss you guys. If you’d wish to contact me, just text me. You know my number.

I may be gone, but I will be back and rise again.

As I say goodbye to the year 2009, I would like to thank the people who touched my heart, made my 2009 a very memorable one and became part of my life. To start with, I  thank the Cebu Bloggers Society for making me  a part of the group. We were not just a group, but we also became family. Since February 15th, when I officially became a CBS member, my life has become more colorful and full of surprises. I experienced a lot that I never expected to experience. Thank you so much guys for giving me that wonderful opportunity. We did great the previous year, I know we can do it again this year or even better. Kudos to us this year!

I would also like to thank my dutymates/ researchmates, for doing their best to pass our Research subject and doing good in both the clinical and community duties. Though I know that was tough, we still manage to surpass all of them. As this year starts, we still have a lot of challenges to face and even tougher than before. But I know we can do better this year. We will pass and we will GRADUATE! May the Lord God bless us and guide us all the way. Again, thank you for doing a job well done.

For my classmates, we have been together for 4 years already. I thank you all for the never ending laughs, all of the “kabuangs”,  support and company throughout the years though I know it will end this year. But still, I know it doesn’t end here. Though we will part our ways soon, I know we will meet again soon. I am very thankful to belong in section B. And I am proud to call you my classmates. We can do this guys! This year is the toughest year for us but I know we will graduate, pass the board exam and become REGISTERED NURSES!

And lastly, I would like to thank my family and friends especially my mom whom I owe my life to. For the never ending love, concern, understanding, and support. Though you have suffered a lot the previous year, you were able to stand again on your own feet. I am very proud of you mom and I love you. To my hardworking dad, who is very far away from me ever since, I thank you so much for the financial support, concern, and love you’ve given me. Though you’re far away, I just want you to know that I miss you and I love you. To my grandparents, thank you Lolo Wences and Lola Elen for taking care of me when mom is not around. For Lolo’s jokes and Lola’s teachings. I love you both. I would also like to thank my cousins, Aunts and Uncles for all their love and concern. Thank you so much. I love my family. May we continue to love each other this year and hope to see you all soon. I miss you all!

And to all my friends, THANK YOU. There were many instances in my previous year when I thought I can’t make it, but you were there to comfort me and cheer me up.Thank you so muc h guys.

Enough with the thank you’s and WELCOME 2010! I can tell that this year will be a great year for me. Not just because I read it in my horoscope but I can feel it. I did good last year, I can do it better this year. I’m now ready to face the challenges ahead of me. And yes, I have my new year’s resolutions. I just hope I’d be able to make all these possible.

CHEERS TO 2010!!!

Last November 9, 2009 we have remembered our great friend’s/brother’s/father’s Special Day. He have been so kind and true to us from the very start. He brought laughter and joy to each and everyone of us.  We have been so blessed for having him in our lives. He is non other than Atty. Ethelbert Ouano.

Let us just consider this post as my post birthday message to him:

As we observe your birthday now,

Your cake and gifts don’t matter much.

These common things aren’t really you,

Ribbons, paper hats and such.

We celebrate a person who

Bring happiness to everyone,

Someone who gives more than he gets,

Yesterday, he gave us a belated birthday treat to remember. We, the Cebu Bloggers Society, have been invited to celebrate his special day in a small resto called Cream and Bake located somewhere in Mandaue City, Cebu. Even a small resto could fit the large number of CBS folks. The room was filled with many Christmas decors along with their specialty which were the cakes on display. A long table was placed in the center of the room for us. Much to our surprise, they don’t just serve desserts but they also serve the main courses. All of their dishes were superb.

After our sumptuous dinner, we then headed to Cafe Shang to continue our celebration, around 100 meters far from Cream and Bake. Cafe Shang has a videoke spot so once we got there, all of us were ready with our song numbers. It was our 2nd time in the place. The 1st was after the PBA night. Then, soft liquors were served particularly San Miguel Beer Light and Red Horse. Also, a bottle of Tequila was passed around by Beejing. We totally enjoyed our night until 1:00AM. After which, we went home thanking Atty. Ethelbert for his unforgettable birthday treat.

• Cebu Bloggers Society Heritage Tour

Our first stop was in Basilica del Sto. Niño. Our meet up time was 8am but apparently, people arrived at 9am already so we were behind our schedule. We then started rolling the camera. Our lines are about the Expression of Individual and Collective Will.

Janmck was the first to deliver his line which quoted “believing that all change must begin within ourselves” just outside in front of the Basilica. In the Basilica Candles, Ken Jesryl stated his line which quoted “we hereby commit to begin the change that we seek in the world by taking simple personal actions. These are, among others, to –”. Outside the Basilica, where the Magellan’s Cross is located, Agnes delivered her line which was “understanding that the environment is not about the birds and the bees;” and Rabsin, with the City Hall in background, stated “rather; it nothing less than about Life itself, and the Sources of Life and Land, Air and Waters;”. From there, we then walked to Colon St. for Sir Timoy to say his line which was “b. Separate and properly handle our wastes.” And from Colon, we then rode a jeepney to Capitol. Bryan then delivered his speech which was “toward this goal, we will exercise our sovereign authority as a people to be expressed in the form of electoral vote”. I then was next to deliver mine at the Lapu-lapu monument still in Capitol which was “we will impress this message upon our political leaders that we now have this individual and collective political will. We implore our leaders to take heed”. Atty. Ethelbert then was next who was the one who prepared our script and the director of our video documentation. At the Palace of Justice, he then stated his line “in the event they fail or refuse to do so, we will render them irrelevant. And where appropriate, we will use the force and the power of the Law”.

It was nearly 12noon and our stomachs were crumbling. We then headed to Larsian in Fuente to have lunch. It was Bryan’s birthday so we surprised him with a cake. We had a very sumptuous barbeque meal plus the cake. Thanks to Vanjohnn and Winston for the treat.

We then continue our tour so at Fuente Circle we headed. Vanjohnn stated his line which was “the accumulated effects of which is now manifesting in the ongoing and perplexing climate changes threaten the very existence and future of human life”. After Fuente, we then went to Enovlink to charge the battery of the video cam and so as to chill a bit. We then continue our journey. Some of us headed to IT Park to continue the shooting. Beejing took the shoot in IT Park in which he stated “realizing that the crisis of water depletion and contamination, air pollution and land degradation,”. I and the others accompanied Vanjohnn to their school which is in Velez College. It was my first time to enter in their school. Afterwhich, we then headed to Ayala where Kevin was able to say his line in the Terraces which was “e. Where possible, plant and nurture vegetables and other plants even in small pots. This will increase our self-reliance for food. More importantly, it will restore the human connection to the natural processes of life”.

That ends our heritage tour. Well actually, that is only the part one of our heritage tour. There’s still a part two for those who were not able to join us that day.

Wow. Imagine in one day, we were able to visit 7 hostorical places in Cebu?  That was really amazing. I really enjoyed doing the video documentation and touring around Cebu. Might as well join the part two of the heritage tour. Yay!

Once again, the Digital Filipino Club had its 2^nd fellowship/networking event held in Teatro Casino, Waterfront Hotel & Casino last July 11, 2009 (Saturday) hosted by Casino Filipino PAGCOR Cebu. That was my first time to attend the event.  Much to my expectation, aside from the Cebu Bloggers Society who flooded the venue, there were also lots of other  Cebu bloggers who were present. Approximately 120 bloggers joined the event. I was glad to meet new faces in the blogging field.

As soon as we arrived to the venue- that was around 7:00PM already, we directly grab our plates and enjoyed the great food, drinks, and music entertainment which PAGCOR had prepared for us.

There was also a power point presentation where in Ms. Janette Toral ruled out the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in years 2007 and 2008. She also would like to encourage bloggers to participate in the following DigitalFilipino.com Club activities:

• Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs 2009 Update
• DigitalFilipino Web Awards 2009
• Philippine Schools Cyberfair 2010

During the break, “camwhoring” then started. Of course, with CBS around, nothing could stop us from doing Korean hand gestures and saying “cheese” whenever cameras are out.

The last part of the event was the Raffle Draw where in they would pick a number from the registered names. Much to my surprise, they called my name. I won a PAGCOR green bag which includes an XL sized PAGCOR shirt, a mouse pad, and accessories.

I would like to thank Ms. Janette Toral for inviting us bloggers, for organizing the event, and for being so kind and sweet and also, to PAGCOR for sponsoring the event.

I wonder how long would it take for me to buy a new camera. I just really wish it’s soon. I still have lots of moments to capture. I just love taking pictures. You might call me a camwhore, but i don’t mind cos’ it’s true.XD…

If ever I’d be given a chance to have or buy a new cam, what camera should I buy? What’s nice? Sony, Olympus, or Canon? Someone told me that Canon is the best. Should I go for it? Whew. I am so desperate to buy a new camera. The only problem is, I don’t have money. That’s the saddest part. Anyway, I’ll just save for it.

On the day of the reunion, Atheena and I came all our way from far places such as Hinundayan and Liloan just to attend our class reunion in Maasin City Southern Leyte since we studied there in high school. When we get to Maasin, we then visited again our dear classmate Klim who was very eager to attend our reunion. But unfortunately, he can’t cos’ he still can’t walk due to his fractured left leg.

When we we nt to our meeting place, which was in Dj’s crib, we were very much pleased to see our old colleagues in high school or what we call ourselves as the 4 Greens batch 2006 (since green is our section). But we were not that pleased enough since our other classmates didn’t make it. Some were not allowed to go by their parents, and some went in other places for vacation. But still, we were enough to celebrate our reunion. There were lots of hugging and the Hi and Hellos.

Dj along with her family were busy preparing for our food which was brought in Manaya Beach Resort (the place where our reunion was held) which is located in Macrohon, Southern Leyte. They have this swimming pool, and below is the beach. The beach with full of rocks. It has a nice view anyway and very peaceful.

We rode a multicab to get to Manaya. Once we get there, there were many people. All of us were very hungry since it’s almost 1 o’ clock PM and we still haven’t eaten our lunch. So the boys hurried to grill the marinated pork bellies. And we then finally ate at last along with the other foods prepared by Dj’s mom.

There were lots of talking and chit chatting. Since me and Atheena will leave early because we might have missed our bus, me, Jade, and Dj went for a swim in the pool which only took me a few minutes. After which, me and Atheena left our other classmates. It’s so sad we didn’t had much time to spent with our classmates. Hopefully next time we will have plenty of time.

But then, after the day we’ve already met, it seems like everything suddenly changed.
There are a lot of questions running in my mind. Like what am I feeling? Or Why can’t I get him out of my head? I suddenly felt the feeling of loneliness when he was not able to communicate with me even just for a short time. Maybe he’s the reason why I get Post Test 2. Hehe.

And now, I don’t know what’s happening. Ever experienced a time when somebody told you he likes you? And when you started feeling the same way, he suddenly changed his mind? And he tells you his a jerk. That’s even more painful cos’ that just means it’s all over.

And now all you can do is act like nothing’s happened. Try to suppress all the hurtful feelings. Hehe.^_^

So what will happen next? No one knows. We’ll just have to wait and see.

But whatever person he may be, he’ll always be special to me.
