My Sinulog Experience 2010

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I can still remember clearly that day. It was a clear sunny blue sky on the day of  Jan. 17, Sunday. The Cebu Bloggers Society was partnered with 88DB.com in their booth. They were stationed just outside Acha Pizzeria in Jones Avenue. Our meeting time was 1PM so I went out from the house around 12:30PM. I rode a jeepney down to Fuente circle and from there I walked my way to the booth. It took me an hour and a half to reach the 88DB.com booth coz’ the crowd was completely great in number. Someone told me that there were 2 million devotees gathered that day.

Anyway, that was my first ever Sinulog experience. Back home in Leyte since I was a child, I only watch Sinulog Festival on TV. When I reached college and started studying here in Cebu last 2006, I don’t go out during Sinulog coz’ of the crowd and another thing also is I don’t have company. (more…)

Buddy Gancenia: Corporate, Events and Wedding Videographer in the Philippines

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Do you know what a videographer is? Strictly speaking, a videographer is a person who works in the video medium — recording moving images and sound on tape, disk, other electro-mechanical device, or broadcasting live. On a set, he or she is usually responsible for the camera, sound, and lighting. As part of a typical field production crew, videographers usually work underneath a producer. However, for smaller productions (e.g. corporate and event videos), a video videographer often works alone or as part of a two or three person team of camera operators and lighting and sound technicians.

The videographer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the satellite, maintaining and repairing video walls, video tape editing in various formats, creating graphics for the cruise events and information channel, shooting and editing video tapes, and programming the broadcast room (such as tuning a TV & radio). That’s what Buddy Gancenia do.

Buddy Gancenia is  a highly experienced Corporate, Events and Wedding Producer – Videographer and Editor in the Philippines. (more…)
